Ford just released the first pictures of its Focus Eelectric NASCAR pace car which has a subtle and tasteful look to it; much tamer than most automotive journalists were anticipating. The bio theme painted on the vehicle looks like an ocean wave with printed leaves throughout. It indicates how dedicated the Ford company is to green practices.
“It will be a special moment for NASCAR fans across the country, Virginians and the Ford family on Saturday night when the Focus electric completes its first lap as the official pace car for the Capital City 400,” Focus electric boss Eric Kuehn told media. “We will also be demonstrating to thousands of race fans and millions more on TV that you can combine performance and fuel-efficiency.”
The electric Focus is currently the most fuel-efficient five seater with the equivalent of 110 miles per gallon (MPGe) city, 99 MPGe highway awhile operating entirely on battery-generated power.
